“We saw a need for a program of this type. Their are growing numbers of highly-motivated and talented young athletes that breathe snowboarding 24/7, who will benefit from a shared coaching and riding experience. We want to see young riders STOKED on snowboarding and excited by progression and style.”
“Method is proud to be partnering this season with Ride For Life so that we can achieve the best athlete development pipeline involving both programs from the ground up. We have collectively developed a super grom program that allows younger athletes an avenue to pursue their lifelong love of snowboarding. Athlete progression is going to grow as a result of riding with a crew of creative and like-minded individuals.” -Method Academy Director Cameron Hunter
“Both Elijah and I have known Cameron and the crew from Method for a long time. Our philosophies towards snowboarding and developing athletes really mesh, and when the opportunity to work with one another in a snowboard-specific program presented itself, we could not say no. We are excited to see both our programs grow, and we are stoked to work on this new program together.” -Founder/ Director Ben Boyd of Ride For Life Academy
“Boydy and I simply love coaching, and I know Cameron and his crew are on the same wave length. I believe we are creating a program that you can become involved with at any stage in your snowboarding career. We are super excited to be working in all areas of talent and ages with the partnership with Method. Everyone will feed off of each other in this new program, from the super stoke of the Groms, to our extremely talented pros. This blend of experience and skill really makes a great environment for fun, progression and finding individual style”. -Founder/ Director Elijah Teter of Ride For Life Academy
The Global Groms Program
This program is a partnership between Method Academy and Ride for Life Academy and the first of its kind in the US. It is designed for athletes aged 8 -12, who are motivated to pursue competitive snowboarding full time.
Global Groms will be led by a collective group of world class coaches: Ben Boyd, Cameron Hunter, and Elijah Teter. Participants in this season-long, FULL TIME Program will train 5 days per week, in an environment centered around having fun while progressing with other athletes who share the same vision and passion.
The performance outcome of “Global Groms” is the development of consistent and efficient riding at the greatest intensity possible. Athletes will begin to self-correct and refine their individual style. Global Groms takes a multi-disciplinary approach to developing fundamental skills and movements. This will allow participants to realize their potential as an athlete and as a steward of the sport.
Training days will be extremely individualized in their focus, as coaches support athletes to prepare for their individual goals.
