I grew up in a military family that moved around a lot. Luckily we always seemed to be stationed close to a winter resort. I tried snowboarding very early when I was just gaining followers. Living in Germany is when I really got into snowboarding. So for many years I was a weekend warrior. However, when I was older in the late nineties I decided to move to a town where I could shred daily in winters. I moved to Stowe VT and continued my passion as a snowboarder. I started competing in the regional snowboard contest scene doing very well for myself. I picked up some sponsors and a few wins! During this time I was also working as a resort instructor with all levels of snowboarders. The Mount Mansfield Snowboard Club was doing big things in snowboarding at this time which I wanted to be a part of very much. Little did I know that a year later i would be taking over the snowboard program at MMSC. Also during this time I met the love of my live while shredding. Gabrielle and I would end up getting married and having our first child right away and then another a couple of years later. I was still working with the club and ended up building an empire of young shredders that all went on into snowboarding to do great things. So after a decade I decided I needed to progress my snowboarding again and move out west to Colorado to work with a private elite team! This proved to be a huge change in everyones life style in my family. We then ended up moving again a year later. I took a job as the pro halfpipe coach for SSCV. That is where the foundations of Ride for Life started for me, working with Ben and Elijah. We were able to work with a very special group of athletes that are writing the history books of snowboarding today.
